Terms
Terms of Service
Effective
The rules for using GLO OS and GLO’s done-for-you services, written to be read.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and GLO (getglo.ca). They apply when you use GLO OS or any service GLO provides. By creating an account, connecting a service, or paying for a plan, you agree to them. If you are agreeing for a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business, and “you” means the business.
If you signed a separate written agreement with GLO, that agreement wins where it conflicts with these terms.
2. The service
GLO provides two things, together or separately:
- GLO OS, our software for trade and home-service businesses: clients, estimates, invoices, jobs, scheduling, customer email, and optional connections to tools like Google and Stripe.
- Done-for-you services, where our team sets up and runs things for you, such as your website, AI receptionist and system setup, as described in your plan.
We improve the service over time and may add, change or remove features.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 and use GLO for business purposes.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including by team members you invite. Tell us right away at admin@getglo.ca if you think your account has been compromised.
4. Free period
New GLO OS accounts get 7 days free. At the end of the free period, you can choose a paid plan. If you don’t, your account becomes read-only, and we may delete it 30 days later unless you start a plan before then. While the account is read-only you can still view your data, and you can ask us for a copy of it.
5. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Prices are shown when you buy. Plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
- Applicable taxes (such as GST/HST or QST) are added to the price.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise us to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- We don’t refund partial months or unused time, unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, we may limit your account to read-only until it is paid. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change applies to your plan.
6. Your data
You own your data. Everything you or your team put into GLO OS, such as clients, estimates, invoices, jobs, photos and notes, belongs to you. You can ask us for a copy of it at any time.
You give GLO a limited licence to host, store, copy, process and display your data only as needed to provide, secure and support the service for you. We don’t sell your data. How we handle personal information, including Google user data, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the right to put your customers’ information into GLO OS and to contact them, including getting any consent the law requires.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use GLO to:
- Send spam. GLO OS email sending is for messages to your own customers and leads who expect to hear from you. It must not be used for unsolicited bulk email, purchased lists or cold mass mailings, and you must follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and similar laws.
- Upload or send anything illegal, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory or infringing.
- Break the law or violate anyone’s privacy or rights.
- Try to break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its security or usage limits.
- Resell or give access to the service to others without our written permission.
We may remove content or suspend access that breaks these rules.
8. Third-party services
GLO OS works with services run by other companies, such as Google (Gmail, Calendar, Contacts), Stripe and others you choose to connect. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies also apply. We are not responsible for those services, and if one changes or stops working, related GLO OS features may change too. You can disconnect them at any time.
9. AI features
Some features use AI to draft emails, summaries and notes. AI can be wrong, incomplete or out of context. Treat AI output as a draft: review and edit it before you send or rely on it. You are responsible for what you send to your customers.
10. Availability and no warranty
We work hard to keep GLO running, but we can’t promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. There may be maintenance, outages, or problems with providers we rely on. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own copies of anything critical.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- GLO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost jobs, lost revenue or lost data.
- GLO’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid GLO in the 3 months before the event that caused the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Termination
You can stop using GLO and cancel at any time. We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don’t pay, or put the service or other customers at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
After your account ends, you can ask us for an export of your data for 30 days. After that, we delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, unless the law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell customers by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using GLO after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can cancel.
